Born on June 2nd, 1947, the guitarist Jean Claude Aubin played with the band “Ensemble de Webert Sicot” in 1966 and in 1967.

He is the guitarist who played on the album “La Flèche d’Or d’Hati” where you will find the famous carnival song “Bon Jan Van”.
He is also the author of the song Marie Lourdes on that album.

In 1967 while the band was on tour in the Caribbean, Jean Claude, then only 20 years old, decided that he’d rather stay in Martinique to continue his musical career.

In 1970, he moved to the U S.

In 1974, Jean Claude opened “Pyramid TV” the first Haitian owned business in Washington, DC where he sold and repaired televisions.

Meanwhile Jean Claude was taking classes at the University of Maryland where he got his degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Jean Claude then worked for many years for the Washington, DC metropolitan transportation department where he became a respected Transit Authority Manager.

In 2005, Jean Claude Aubin was forced to retirement after he had a cardiovascular accident VAC (stoke).

Jean Claude was recently diagnosed with kidney failure. He succumbed to it on December 27th, 2022.

His funeral service is scheduled for January 10th, 2023 at the “Collins Funeral Home” in Silver Spring Maryland.
